DO I NEED TO PREPARE FOR MY LASER HAIR REMOVAL APOINTMENT?
You are required to shave the treatment area at least 12-24 hours before your treatment, the sooner the better as our hairs start the 'grow-back' process almost immediately after shaving, so the fresher, the better.
Please wait at least 4 weeks before your laser hair removal appointment if you have had any chemical peels or laser treatments on the given area.
Exfoliate the treatment area at least 3 days before your treatment and in between sessions to try and activate the hair follicles, alleviate any dry skin and reduce/prevent any ingrown hairs.
Ensure no residue from fake tan or body butters, henna, mehndi or any artificial shimmers/creams are present on the skin, your skin needs to be as clean as possible.
Avoid excessive sun exposure on the area being treated at least two weeks before and up to one week after a Laser hair removal session, as your skin is particularly sensitive during this time. Please wear SPF where possible, especially after your session! (including solariums (sun beds) or tanning drugs/nasal tanners)
Avoid using topical creams/moisturisers, colognes or perfumes to the area being treated before the appointment.
Do not wax, use depilatory creams (hair removal cream, eg. Nair) or pluck hairs four weeks before your laser treatment. This treatment works best when the natural hair is left to grow out for a couple of weeks and then freshly shaved before the day of your appointment.
